Physician Assistants are healthcare professionals who work as part of a multidisciplinary team with supervision from a named senior doctor (a General Medical Council registered consultant or general practitioner). PAs are part of the government’s medical associate professions (MAPs) grouping in the health and care workforce and have been working in the UK since 2003.
We are delighted to have an experienced Physician Assistant as part of our team so that we can improve access to care for our patients.
Our Physician Assistant is Laura Baker, who has over 5 years experience working within General Practice. Laura is supervised by Dr Kate Howard and Dr Holloway. Dr Wilkinson also supports with supervision of Minor Surgery and Implants.
